History

As a result of a long time dream of owner/operator Robyn Pamplin, The Robyn’s Nest Grill (RNG) was established in January 1994. The RNG was moved from its original location on the Historic Dahlonega Square to its current location in the Wal-Mart Plaza in August 1997. Robyn found the move necessary to better serve her loyal customers by providing adequate parking, more seating and a modern kitchen to prepare the great food that the RNG has become so well known for.

The RNG has built its outstanding reputation on three simple philosophies. The first is to offer RNG customers great tasting, high quality food at a fair price. Many of Robyn's regular customers will testify that "a person would have to search far and wide to find a better burger, sub, salad or sandwiches anywhere." Next is to provide prompt and friendly service to all customers. The RNG staff truly appreciates their customers and enjoys treating them as friends, and that is just what many of Robyn's customers have become. Finally, The Robyn's Nest strives to provide a warm, safe and comfortable atmosphere for her customers. The RNG prides itself on being Dahlonega’s "Home Town Grill" and the interior of the place reflects just that. Entering the RNG gives the sensation of stepping back in time to an old 1950's diner. The décor is simple and nostalgic with the walls behind the front counter decorated with old adverting tins and Coca-Cola memorabilia. Throughout the main dining area are original pencil sketching of American icons, such as Elvis and Marilyn Monroe. All of the pencil sketching were drawn and generously donated by a local artist, JoAnn Paradise (she also happens to be Robyn’s Mom).

For years the RNG has been known primarily as the place to go for lunch, but in August 2007 Robyn again made some changes in hopes to better serve the customers that have so loyally supported her throughout the years. Robyn decided to expand her evening hours to six nights a week and add some delicious new dinner specials to a menu already filled many tasty choices.
